Youth Sessions Offered At Southeast Aviation Expo

Southeast Aviation Expo KidsThe Southeast Aviation Expo isn’t just for grown-ups!

On Saturday, September 27 the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 249 of Greenville will offer the first 100 youth a chance to have an aviation experience through the EAA’s Young Eagles program. Young Eagle Flights will begin at 9 am at the Greenville Downtown Airport.

During the day, USAeroTech Institute will offer two hands-on workshops and Celebrate Freedom Foundation will offer one workshop. Sessions will include a Sparks and Electricity Workshop where kids will learn the ABCs of electricity and how it’s used in aviation, a Let’s Go Flying Workshop where kids will learn how an aircraft stays in the air, and how to do a proper preflight. Celebrate Freedom Foundation will offer a SOaR STEM Workshop where kids will get an up close look at its Apache Helicopter and learn about its Aviation Summer Camp!
