Schedule of events listed below:  Fly in or Drive in – YOU are the show! 2017 Southeast Aviation Expo Saturday, June 10 – 11, 2017 Greenwood County Airport 322 Terminal Road, Greenwood, SC 29649 Fly in or drive in, but come and enjoy!  The skies will be lit up with general aviation airplanes flying in from the tri-state area. To top it all off the field will be closed for a World Class Airshow. If you join our fly-in you get the show for free! The Greenwood County Airport is home to the Annual Southeast Aviation Expo and is presented in partnership with the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 1023. The expo is a fly-in for general aviation as well as an air show that allow the public to experience and enjoy aviation.  Introducing and promoting aviation to all ages is our passion, and that’s clearly reflected in our slogan: Flying, Family and Fun! SCAA Awards Scholarships The South Carolina Aviation Association SCAA scholarship program will provide limited assistance for South Carolina students who wish to pursue a career in the aviation industry. The objective of the scholarship fund is to promote the aviation industry in South Carolina. Scholarship funds will be provided up to a maximum of $500 for one semester of tuition and books. Funds will be paid to the institution for tuition and books only. It is the student’s responsibility to provide SCAA with appropriate bills and documentation for payment. No funds will be paid to the student directly. The Scholarship Committee of the SCAA will review all applications and make recommendations to the board of directors. Participating students must maintain an overall grade point average of 3.0 out of 4.0 or its equivalent.  In order to be eligible for the scholarship, students must be recommended by a member in good standing with SCAA. Requirements and qualifications may be added or deleted by the SCAA Board of Directors’ as they deem necessary. Students may reapply each year, but first time applicants will receive preferential consideration. Once an application has been received, it will remain on file and in contention until all funds have been expended. Register to Exhibit at the Expo before May 24

Reserve your spot today for the Southeast Aviation Expo’s largest event to date. Register online by May 24 and have your logo included in the next four advertisements in Palmetto Aviation Magazine.  The event is expected to attract more than last years 5,000 attendees. Paired with the Greenwood Aviation Expo this year, the Southeast Aviation Expo June 25-26 at Greenwood County Airport will be a jewel for pilots in the Southeast.  The Expo will add its trade show of pilot products and services, and pilot oriented education sessions to the Greenwood Aviation Expo’s already established air show, RC demonstration show and car show. The event is expected to attract more than last years 5,000 attendees. The Greenwood County Airport will buy lunch on Saturday for all pilots that fly in. On Sunday, the Breakfast Club will be flying in and Greenwood EAA Chapter 1023 will serve breakfast to pilots. SCAA will pay for all pilots who attend. An AOPA Rusty Pilots seminar and WINGS seminars will follow, along with an opportunity to visit exhibitors. All passport participants are invited to fly in for breakfast and celebrate the newest pilots who have completed the program.  We may even hear some stories from passport participants. Also, help SCAA vote on the Best Exterior, Best Overall and Best Cockpit in the EAA Corral Show. There is a $10 parking fee if you drive in on Saturday, but there is no fee for those that fly in.
