Leo Berube

Commercial Pilot Leo has been active in aviation since 1967. An alumnus of the State University of New York and the University of Georgia, he holds both a Commercial Pilot’s License and Flight Instructor Ratings (CFI, CFII, MEI) for Multi-Engine Land – Instrument; Single Engine Land – Instrument and Single Engine Sea. Denise Bryan

Fairfield County Airport A native of Sanford, N.C., Denise Bryan has been a South Carolina resident since 1993. She comes from a family of aviation: Her father was an air traffic controller and her husband is an aircraft mechanic. She has a private pilot license and owns a Cessna 210. Denise earned a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a minor in Airport Management. Her 13-year career in aviation includes a total of eight years between Columbia Metropolitan, Birmingham International and Augusta Regional Airports before accepting the Airport Director role at Fairfield County. Philip Chandler

Rock Hill-York County Airport Rev. Philip Chandler has been around commercial aviation since 1959 in Orlando when his father was hired by Delta Airlines. He worked as a teenager in the bag room for Delta at MCO, then at MCO Orlando in 1972 began an 18 year career at numerous airports across the country with Eastern Airlines in customer service, training, management and sales. He is serving as a city representative on the Rock Hill-York County Airport Commission for 4 years and is currently vice chair of the airport commission. Greg Jones – SCAA President

ADC Engineering Greg Jones joined ADC in 1997 as a civil engineering principal. His work portfolio includes site development projects in commercial developments, K-12 schools, higher education institutions, healthcare and military facilities, and infrastructure. In addition to conventional site development, Greg specializes in aviation design with projects that include all aspects of airfields and aviation facilities. In 1985 Greg graduated from The Citadel in civil engineering and in 1992 he received his masters in civil engineering from Clemson University. Greg is LEED accredited and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Construction Specifications Institute, the Charleston Civil Engineers Club and the American Concrete Pavement Association. Michael McCurdy

Charleston Flight School Developing a love for aviation at a young age, Michael McCurdy became a private pilot and recognized his passion for aviation instruction. Born in Indiana, he has lived in South Carolina since 1985. He worked for FEMA during the 2010 Tennessee floods and other natural disasters. Michael was a private pilot for then Congressman Tim Scott and state Attorney General Alan Wilson. He currently operates two flight schools in Charleston. Michael is a Boy Scout explorer troop counselor, granting all scouts access to the full motion simulator at his flight schools. Paul Moses

Lancaster County Airport Paul has been active in aviation since 1964. He has over 4,000 hours of flight time. He holds a Commercial License and Flight Instructor Ratings  ( CFI, CFII) for Airplane Single Engine and Instrument Airplane.  He also holds a Commercial Helicopter and Commercial Multi-Engine License plus Remote Pilots License (Small Unmanned Aircraft System). Paul became the manager of the Lancaster County Airport in November of 2010 after retiring from Continental Tire based in Charlotte, NC after 38 years in management. Talbert, Bright & Ellington, Inc. As an engineering consultant, Eddie began his professional career in commercial development where he worked for just over 10 years. Having been bitten by the aviation bug, he has spent another 10 years working for airport clients all over the Carolinas and Georgia. He curently serves at Talbert, Bright & Ellington, Inc. He truly loves the work, the field of aviation, and its impact on our world. Eddie finished his bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering with a degree from the University of South Carolina  in his thirties and was considered the old guy by classmates and professors alike. The job Eddie loves the most, however, is being able to teach his son to become a man.
